Community at Inspiration Ministries

At Inspiration Ministries, we strive to create a healthy community environment for our residents, both internally and beyond our cozy campus. A strong family environment equips our residents to serve in the greater Lake Geneva community, and serving together off-campus makes us a stronger residential family in return.

On-Campus Community

Our staff is always updating the calendar with fun, community-building activities that we can host in our activity center. Some recreational events and activities include movie nights, fashion shows, coffee socials, and fitness programs.

Our community is also firmly rooted in our shared faith, so residents get many opportunities for discipleship on-campus as well.

Off-Campus Community

Residents are also encouraged to get out and get involved locally. We’ve found it brings joy to our residents, as well as the people they get to meet and build relationships with, to be part of the local community.

Some community outings our residents enjoy include:

  • The county fair
  • Local parades
  • Baseball games
  • Bowling
  • Visiting a local farm
  • Seeing a play at the theater
  • A night out at the movies

Inspiration Ministries has a great partnership with The Christian Motorcycle Association. Every year their Run for the Son event is a fun-filled activity for our residents. Several chapters of the association meet for prayer and fellowship, and give some of our lucky residents rides on their bikes.

We have many special activities going on for Christmas and other holidays as well. Something we participate in year round is filling boxes for Operation Christmas Child. Residents have the opportunity to make a difference in child’s life by filling boxes with Christmas gifts.

“How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!” – Psalm 133:1

God created us to live in community. There is no question that we need each other in order to live fulfilling lives. Our residents love all the community activities, and we know that they are a blessing to those they meet as well.
