Inspiration Ministries – Who We Are

Inspiration Ministries is a faith-based residential provider dedicated to serving adults with disabilities. We are located near beautiful Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.

We offer:

A genuine family atmosphere and home environment

The selfless, endless love and compassion of God

Meaningful care from our staff

Inspiration Ministries stands out from other residences because of our warm, loving, family environment and Christ-centered vision. All our residents are treated with professionalism and care, by a staff that is passionate about seeing each person grow in his or her independence and relationship with God.

“The King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.’” (Matthew 25:40, NASV)

Our History

1n 1948, Reverend Charles Pedersen and his wife, Mary, founded The Christian League for the Handicapped in Walworth, Wisconsin. Pedersen worked tirelessly to see people with intellectual and physical disabilities treated with value and worth. His desire was to empower people with disabilities by helping them see the love of God.

Over the last half-century, the ministry Pedersen started has grown and changed, but the heart has remained the same. Inspiration Ministries strives to be a safe, home environment where people with disabilities can live joyful and productive lives.

The Difference

There are many good, state-funded facilities that offer care and services to individuals with disabilities. However, it is often hard to maintain a caring, family environment, and many group homes lack community. Additionally, there is little emphasis on the spiritual well-being of residents.

At Inspiration Ministries, we believe that God designed all people to live in community, and this community helps and supports each other. We also believe in the importance of our residents’ spiritual growth. God created everyone to have a relationship with Him, and to know his or her worth and identity in Christ.
